World Cup 2018 | Egypt v Russia Tips | 19th June 2018
THE World Cup continues on Tuesday with more action from Group A as Russia face Egypt. Our man Ross Casey offers his betting preview and tips.
Russia are favourites to win here with a price of 11/10. They won 5-0 in their opening match against Saudi Arabia but had a seven-match winless streak before that surprising result.
Egypt look a value play at 3/1, but their over-reliance on Mo Salah – who of course has his injury worries – is shown by the fact they are winless in five games without him, netting just once.
Both Teams To Score
I think Both Teams To Score at 11/10 is a decent enough price here.
Egypt need to push forward to have any real chance of qualification after losing their first game without scoring – remember that Russia scored five in their opener and goal difference may come into play. They may well have Salah back in their side here, which will be a massive boost as he is their top scorer.
Russia netted five in their opening game, so confidence will be high coming into this fixture, and they will be well aware that a win will see them qualify for the knockout rounds before facing Uruguay in the final game. For that reason, I see them playing for the win too, making for an expansive open game – so hopefully we will see both nets bulge.
