Iran v Morocco | Friday 15th June 2018, 16:00 | ITV

Group B gets underway on Friday, however it isn’t Spain and Portugal kicking things off. Instead, the relative minnows of Morocco and Iran have the honour of getting the group started, and it’s a game of massive significance to both teams, as a loss in this game would almost certainly mean the end of their World Cup hopes.

Let’s take a look at my betting tips…

A goalless game?

Both teams are built from a solid defence, and neither has the greatest array of attacking talents, therefore meaning that this match could be a low scoring one.

In fact, chances will probably be very few and far between, which is why we think a top bet for this game is a goalless draw. It might not be the most exciting bet you can make, but with odds of 5/1 here at 188BET, it could be a bet that makes you money.

But why do we predict such a low scoring affair? Well, Morocco’s defence should easily be able to cope with the attacking intentions of the Iranian team, however the North African team’s attack won’t have the necessary threat to trouble Iran’s defence much throughout the game.

The fact that this game is so important to each side – it will be seen as their most realistic chance to pick up points – also means that it could be a cagey affair.
