World Cup 2018 | Poland v Japan Tips | 28th June 2018

THE World Cup final round of group matches concludes on Thursday, including when Japan face Poland in Group H. Our man Ross Casey offers his betting preview and tips.

Senegal v Japan | Thursday 28th June 2018, 15:00 | BBC

Japan are favourites to win here with a price of 8/5. They have picked up four points from two matches and now face a Poland side that have already been eliminated.

Japan headed into this group as probably the least fancied nation, but thanks to a second minute red card to Colombia they came away with an unexpected win there and the battled back to earn a 2-2 draw against Senegal last time out. They are now plausibly going through to the knockout round no matter what happens here if Colombia fail to win their final game.

Poland have been dreadful this tournament, losing 3-0 to Colombia and 2-1 to Senegal. They are 9/5 to restore some Polish people with a win here.

Who will come out on top of this clash between Poland and Japan in the final game of Group H?

Robert Lewandowski to score first

I think that I am going to head to the enhanced specials for this match and back Robert Lewandowski to score first at an enhanced price of 4/1.

I don’t fancy Japan to keep a clean sheet here, they have conceded three times already in the tournament and look susceptible – the fact they haven’t kept a clean sheet in nine games is proof of that!

Yes, Poland have been woeful, but they have previous of losing their opening two games then to only turn on the style once it is too late and Lewandowski, if provided with a decent chance, can profit from that defensive frailty at 4/1.
