World Cup 2018 | Serbia v Brazil Tips | 27th June 2018

Serbia v Brazil | Wednesday 27th June 2018, 19:00 | ITV
There aren’t many, if any, fixtures that scale the scale of importance heading into the last ground of matches than Serbia versus Brazil.
With Brazil dropping points earlier in the tournament against Switzerland and Serbia with just three points on the board, both of these sides could top the group and neither have secured qualification.
Brazil left it devilishly late against Costa Rica to grab a 2-0 win, and whilst the goals came later than anticipated, Costa Rica were always going to be difficult to break down as displayed by Aleksandar Kolarov’s glorious free-kick in the opening fixtures.
Looking at this match from a betting perspective it’s difficult, as naturally you wish to side with Brazil due to them being a superior team. However, the truth is a draw would be enough here for them and with the Germany group being settled beforehand their intentions could change.
If Germany finish second in their group, a draw would be in Brazil’s best interest and hope Switzerland beat Costa Rica as the Swiss must acquire points to secure Last 16 qualification.
Even if reading this preview and by the end you like my selection, I would strongly advise until waiting until after the previous group has settled for the reasons highlighted above.
As I’m approaching this match with caution, I’m going to be siding with the statistics with this one. Therefore, 75% of all of both Brazil’s and Serbia’s World Cup matches have gone Under 2.5 goals and I suspect that trend will continue.
Brazil will look to dominate the game and I can’t see them conceding here, but if they do a draw would still be enough to see them through ultimately and that’s why I’m going to take this market.
Brazil v Serbia – Under 2.5 Goals (8/9)
